Hey everyone! We are so glad you’re here. Whether this is your first time stepping into a church or you’ve been here for a while, welcome home. You aren’t just a face in the crowd; you are part of the AWAKEN family.
Why “AWAKEN”?
We chose this name because of a powerful truth found in
Ephesians 5:14:
“Wake up, sleeper, rise from the dead, and Christ will shine on you.”
In a world that often feels like it’s running on autopilot—distracted by screens, stressed by expectations, and searching for meaning in all the wrong places—we believe it’s time to wake up. We aren’t here to just “get through” our teenage years; we are here to be fully alive in the purpose God has for us.
Why Youth Ministry Matters
Let’s be real: being a student today is heavy. You’re navigating big questions, big pressures, and a world that’s constantly changing. That is exactly why this space exists.
Youth ministry isn’t just about pizza and games (though we have plenty of those). It’s about connection.
- A Place to Belong: You weren’t meant to carry the weight of the world alone. Here, you have a community that walks with you.
- A Place to Question: This is a safe space to ask the hard questions about faith, life, and identity.
- A Place to Grow: We believe that young people aren’t just the “future” of the church—you are the church right now.
As it says in 1 Timothy 4:12, “Don’t let anyone look down on you because you are young, but set an example for the believers in speech, in conduct, in love, in faith and in purity.”
We are here to help you discover the incredible light Christ wants to shine through you. So, take a breath, grab a seat, and get ready. It’s time to wake up to everything God has in store.
